Keeping up during lockdown.

The national guidelines for exercise recommends 5 exercise sessions per week, can you do it?

I personally have kept it up, 2-3 runs, Kendo training, incidental walks & core training with maintenance. This adds up to at least 5 sessions per week plus the classes & fitness sessions I run for our Dojo, but I don’t take part in the classes as a participant as I have to keep an eye on everyone & the feel of the Dojo.

It’s actually the feel of the ground which can guide us as to what we need to do for maintenance & training to keep our bodies functioning well enough. There is always more you can do but I’d like to quote a link below because it highlights the importance for variance in training styles.

It’s best to be guided by someone, anyone can run or attend a class or go to the gym, there are valid reasons why people stop & guidance isn’t often sought after when things go wrong or availability changes, interests change - you name it I’ve heard many excuses.

What else can this guidance give you? INSPIRATION & a sense of community, at least for our Dojo we’ve encouraged this. 🙂

Please get in touch & let me know what you think about the article. Tell me your experiences & what you do for maintenance.

Do you get 5 exercise sessions in per week? 🤔

How long do your exercise sessions go for?

I’d love to hear from you, keeping in touch allows me to support you along the way. 🙇
